The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration estimates that as many as 15,000 humpback whales visit Hawaii every winter. They come to the islands to breed, calve and nurse their young. The official whale whale watching season is from December through May with February and March being considered the peak of the whale watching season. Sometimes whales arrive as early as october and stay until May before traveling back to Alaska. You may see whales on our charters throughout the Winter but we suggest you book you pwivate whale watching adventures between December and May.
