Your adventure aboard Hawaii Ocean Rafting begins at historic Lahaina Harbor with an 7:30 am check-in. A continental breakfast is served as you enjoy the panoramic view of the islands of Maui, Molokai, Kahoolawe and Hawaii in the distance. Our Lanai snorkeling adventures will surely be a highlight of your visit to Maui. We are a small family owned company and we specialize in taking small groups far from the beaten path. The island of Lanai is sparsely populated which means the the backdrop to your snorkeling spots are as untouched as the reef below. Towering cliffs meet crystal blue waters that hide unique volcanic formations teeming with tropical marine life. The island of Lanai is also home to several species of dolphin. We most often see the Hawaiian spinner and Spotted dolphins. Our high speed eco rafts create a large wake that these guys love to play in. They often escort us to our first snorkeling spot. Lanai is also home to the Hawaiian green sea turtles. If you see these guys snorkeling remember not to touch them.
There is a plus if you join us in the Winter months. Our trip across the channel for some Lanai snorkeling travels right through the Pacifics best whale watching areas. Our snorkleing tours automatically become part whale watching tour. We will stop for a while so that you can experience these gentle giants and snap some pictures too. Another amazing thing you may discover is that whale songs are often audible while you are snorkeling Lanai’s pristine reefs. What could be better than the music of whales as you snorkel?
