If the weather cooperates (which it usually does, it’s Maui afterall)a full day tour can circumnavigate the entire island of Lana’i! The far side of the island is home to a giant shipwreck which makes for a pretty wonderful photo opprotunity. Lana’i is wonderful for snorkeling because of it’s sheer variety and virtually undisturbed habitat. Plus, the island is home to three different species of dolphin. We are often greeted by a pod of dolphins, they love to leap in play in the wake of our vessels. This time of year our snorkeling tours become part whale watching tour. We travel right through the shallow channel between Maui and Lana’i, which is home to the highest concentration of humpbacks. She is also quick under sail and we encourage everyone to take a turn at the helm. Our scarab speedboat is a stylish as adventurous option for a smaller group.
